Black Friday is Friday after Thanksgiving Day in the USA. The traditional Christmas season sales begin this day. The custom to arrange the sale this Friday was established in the XIX century, and the term "Black Friday" appeared in 1966 and firstly it was used on the East Coast. On the West Coast it was used in 2000. Thanksgiving Day is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November and in accordance with it Black Friday is during the period from 22 to 29 November.

Black Friday is not an official holiday, but many workers take the day off this day, except for retail dealers, as in this day flow of customers increases significantly. In the Black Friday stores open very early - at about 5 am, and some of the largest retail chains - even at midnight. And shop until you drop. The first buyers are offered significant discounts - it is done in order to attract the stores as much as possible buyers. And sellers count and write the amount of profit in black ink (losses are written by red ink) – that’s why Friday is Black. The term "Black Friday" first appeared in Philadelphia, and it means strong traffic jams on Friday after Thanksgiving Day.

Cyber Monday is followed by Monday after Thanksgiving Day. This day online sellers have great hopes on profit. So firstly Americans celebrate Thanksgiving Day, the next day they run to the shops for sale, and on Monday, sitting at work, people are occupied with online shopping and a great bargain.
